GAP IOS: Support health behavior among elderly via digital learning solutions

BRIEF
The
Challenge
It is important for elderly people to be engaged actively in society and to deal with social issues. There is a need for opportunities to promote lifelong learning and senior’s active inclusion in society to be able to connect with others.
Hence, GAP-IOS aims at the social integration of the elderly and seniors in a unique way where they can engage in social life through high-quality learning opportunities via digital learning solutions through various learning methods.
FOCUS
The
Approach
Based on desk research, different training courses are created for the elderly. These trainings are based on health literacy, digital literacy, financial literacy, legal literacy, hobby activities, and cultural and literature literacy. These training courses are also presented to several peer-trainers in different countries to stimulate social interaction between the elderly.
CONCLUSIONS
The envisioned result
The GAP-IOS project aims to create an educational environment and provides a Best Practice Model (Golden Age Platform) that can be used in various countries to increase the living standards of the elderly and provide their social inclusion into society in an innovative way where they can join in social life by high-quality learning opportunities on digital learning applications through informal learning methods.

The role of PredictBy in this project is:
Desk research: contribute to the content of the different training courses by conducting desk research.
Provide several trainings to peer-trainers: we provide elderly with several courses in different countries. We train them to become peer-trainers and promote the Golden Age Platform.
